How to Install Refnet Joint ?

The installation method and request of refnet joint in different brands is various. Here we take Midea & Gree as example.

Install the refrigerant branch kit, observing the following conditions:
 
  • U-shaped indoor Ts can be installed horizontally or vertically
  • If the refnet joints are mounted horizontally, the branch joint must be within a 10° angle
  • At least 1 meter distance between Ts
  • There must be at least 0.5m between any 90° and another 90° or MS box or fan coil

Make sure the manifold is close to the IDU to reduce the effect of IDU branching on refrigerant assignmenet; Matches the manifold of the device; Make sure the manifold model is correct.
Manifolds can be laid in the following ways:
  • Horizontal installation: The three ports must be on the same level. Forming size and assembly angle cannot be changed
  • Vertical installation: the direction can be up or down. The three ports must be on the same level and must not be tilted
The straight pipe length between the two manifolds & before the main pipe port of the manifold & between the manifold branch pipe and the IDU cannot be less than 500mm
